Funds donated to the Children's Foundation are used in one of two ways - to enhance provincial programs and to contribute to special projects. Special projects currently funded solely by the Foundation include:

Speak Don't Spank booklets are given to every kindergarten and junior kindergarten child in Elgin to take home to their parents during Child Abuse Prevention Month in October. "Our goal is to put this booklet in the hands of every parent with young children in Elgin County," says Steve Bailey, Executive Director of FACS-Elgin. Booklets have been distributed in each of the last three years in an effort to promote positive parenting.

Bursaries and scholarships for children in care and foster children who wish to continue their education.
