Elgin Children's Foundation - Youth in Care Achievement Awards

Youth in Care Achievement Awards

The “Youth in Care Achievement Award” was founded in 2006 to allow an opportunity for our Agency to recognize youth in our care.
The “Youth in Care Achievement Award” recipients are youth who have overcome educational barriers despite their struggles with learning disabilities, addictions, personal losses and a variety of other challenges our youth face. Each year up to 12 individuals are presented with this award at the Agency’s Annual General Meeting. This is a very proud night for our recipients who are able, for the first time, to attend a banquet and be publicly recognized for their achievements, often with their family, friends and support persons in attendance. The youth are recognized with a personalized plaque and an honorarium to acknowledge and celebrate their success.
